Mufflers are essential elements to eliminate or reduce noise during compressed air exhaust. They must always be fitted to exhaust ports 3/2, 5/2 or 5/3 lines / pos. distributors. Periodically during operation, the mufflers must be degreased with white spirit and compressed air blown through them in the opposite direction.
The nominal flow rate is determined at an inlet pressure of 6 bar and outlet to atmosphere. To determine the noise level, a test is performed using a phonometer. Location of the phonometer at a distance of 1 meter from the object and at the same height. Measurement period – 10 s. This test gives the average of the noise generated.
